미식품의약청은 최종적인 법 제정이 되지 않으면 식품안전현대화 법의 일부 조항의 실행을 미룰 것이라고 밝혔다. The Food and Drug Administration has sent letters stating that it will not begin enforcing certain provisions of the Food Safety Modernization Act due to take effect July 4 until final rules are enacted. The law states that the hazard analysis and preventive controls requirements are effective 18 months after enactment with additional provisions taking effect early next year. FDA has yet to put out regulatory proposals to implement these requirements, however, and the letters detailed that the agency will base enforcement on the timeframes contained in the final rules. The proposed rules are currently under review at the White House and the timetable for their release is unclear. Final rules would then likely take at least an additional year. Florida had a total of 418 frozen yogurt stores in fall 2011, a 49% increase over the previous five years. The protein works to decrease blood lipids and cholesterol, the very things which can lead to cardiovascular problems. Eating strawberries has previously been found to counter post-meal blood glucose and low density lipoprotein, or 'bad' cholesterol and therefore decrease risk of diabetes and heart disease, but this is the first time that strawberry extracts have been proved to actively stimulate proteins that offer us protection against disease, reported Science Daily.
